More than 500 representatives from China and abroad, related to the robot industry and research institutes have joined the “Robot International Standards and Technology Industry Conference”, held in Suzhou Oct 14th.
It was an event co-organized by the Xiangcheng District, Suzhou Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, Suzhou Science and Technology Bureau and Suzhou University.
After a welcome speech by Xiangcheng’s party secretary Gu Haidong it was Suzhou City Quality Supervision Bureau, party secretary Wang Qingxuan who presided over the meeting.
Xiangcheng is developing at a very high pace, a region full of opportunities where living is still affordable with Suzhou being one of the best cities for a comfortable and happy life. Suzhou has been at the forefront of the ongoing industrial transformation and upgrading, and will remain a capital of the robot industry.
Further there were speeches by the vice mayor of Suzhou Jin Jie, Deputy director of the National Standardization Management Committee Yin Minghan, Secretary – General of the Chinese Robot Industry Alliance Song Xiaogang, and more… All agree that the importance of standardization cannot be underestimated and will allow the New China to lead internationally.
The Suzhou robot industry represents 200 enterprises and 100 billion yuan.
In Nov 2015, Suzhou University Dean Professor Sun Lining led the formation of the “Robot and Intelligent Equipment Research Institute” settled in Xiangcheng Economic and Technological development Zone Yangcheng Lake International Branch.
The Institute is oriented to industrial robots, service robots, precision machining technology and numerical control equipment, laser processing technology and equipment, key components and intelligent control systems for industrial robots, intelligent manufacturing, and intelligent equipment in the background of industrial 4.0.
